The Warranty Policy is effective as of February 5, 2026
All TrunkMate Camper Kits include a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturing defects under normal, everyday use.
Our goal is simple: if something fails because we made it wrong, we will make it right.
This warranty applies to the original purchaser and begins on the date of delivery.
What Is Covered
Manufacturing Defects
This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that occur during normal use, including:
- Structural failures
- Hardware failure not caused by misuse
- Manufacturing flaws
- Defects present at the time of delivery
If a defect is confirmed, we will repair or replace the affected component at our discretion.
Replacement Policy
Warranty remedies may include:
- Replacement parts
- Repair guidance
- Full product replacement (if necessary)
In some cases, we may require photos or return of the defective component before issuing a replacement.
Shipping costs for warranty replacements may be covered at our discretion.
The warranty covers repair or replacement of the product only and does not cover incidental or consequential damages.
What Is Not Covered
Normal Wear & Tear
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, including:
- Cosmetic scratches
- Surface wear
- Minor material compression
- Finish fading over time
These are considered part of normal product use.
Improper Use or Installation
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
- Improper installation
- Failure to follow provided instructions
- Overloading beyond intended weight limits
- Commercial or rental use
- Abuse, misuse, or negligence
- Water damage or environmental exposure outside normal vehicle use
Damage caused by accidents or external forces is not covered.
Product Modifications
Modifications That Void Warranty
Any modification to the product voids the warranty.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Painting, staining, or varnishing
- Drilling additional holes
- Cutting, trimming, or altering structural components
- Replacing hardware with non-original components
- Structural alterations of any kind
Once modified, the product is no longer eligible for warranty coverage.
Safety & Proper Use
User Responsibility
Customers are responsible for:
- Installing the product properly
- Using the product as intended
- Ensuring safe setup before use
TrunkMate products are designed for vehicle camping and temporary sleeping use only.
Intended Use Disclaimer
TrunkMate products are not intended for permanent structural installations or commercial applications.
The user assumes all responsibility for proper installation and safe operation.
