The Cancellations & Deposits Policy is effective as of July 26, 2026.
Order Cancellations
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible.
Because most TrunkMate products are made to order, cancellations are time-sensitive. Submitting a cancellation request does not guarantee that the order can be stopped before production or shipment.
Cancellation Before Production Begins
An order may be canceled for a refund if production has not yet begun and materials have not been cut, assembled, or specifically allocated to the order.
The refund will include:
- The amount paid for the products
- Shipping charges paid to TrunkMate
- Rush Production charges, if applicable
- Applicable taxes
Any payment-processing fees actually charged to TrunkMate and not returned by the payment processor may be deducted from the cancellation refund.
Cancellation After Production Begins
Once production has begun, cancellation may be subject to a cancellation and restocking fee.
If materials have been cut, assembled, prepared, or specifically allocated to the order, TrunkMate may deduct a fee of up to 10% of the amount paid for the affected products.
The cancellation fee does not apply to:
- Sales tax
- Shipping charges
- Rush Production charges
Rush Production charges are refundable when an order is canceled, even if a production-related cancellation fee applies.
The amount of any cancellation fee will depend on the materials, labor, and production work committed to the order at the time the cancellation request is received.
Rush Production Orders
Rush Production orders enter the production schedule promptly and may begin production shortly after purchase.
Because of this, a Rush Production order may become subject to a cancellation fee sooner than a standard-production order.
However, if a Rush Production order is successfully canceled before shipment, the Rush Production charge itself will be refunded.
Any applicable production-related cancellation fee and non-refundable payment-processing fees may still be deducted.
Orders That Have Shipped
Once an order has shipped, it can no longer be canceled.
After shipment, the order is governed by the Return & Refund Policy, including its return-eligibility requirements, restocking fees, shipping deductions, and non-refundable Rush Production charges.
Deposits
Non-Refundable Deposits
Unless otherwise stated in writing at the time of payment, deposits used to secure production capacity, custom work, special materials, or a special-build production slot are non-refundable.
Deposits are applied toward the final balance and compensate TrunkMate for reserving production time, materials, and capacity.
The terms of any custom or special-order deposit will be disclosed before the deposit is collected.
Local Pickup Deposits
If a local-pickup order involving a deposit is canceled after production has begun, TrunkMate may, at its discretion, convert some or all of the deposit into store credit.
Store credit:
- Does not expire
- Is non-transferable
- May only be used toward future TrunkMate purchases
- Has no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash, except where required by law
Payment Processing Fees
When a payment is refunded after it has been processed, the payment processor may retain some or all of the original transaction fees.
TrunkMate may deduct only the actual payment-processing fees that:
- Were charged in connection with the canceled transaction
- Are not returned or credited to TrunkMate by the payment processor
- Are permitted to be deducted under applicable law
The amount may vary depending on the payment method, transaction type, financing provider, currency, and payment processor.
No processing-fee deduction will be made for a fee that was not charged or that was returned to TrunkMate.
Cancellation Refunds
Approved cancellation refunds will be issued to the original payment method unless otherwise required by law.
A cancellation refund may be reduced by:
- An applicable production-related cancellation fee
- Actual non-refundable payment-processing fees
- A non-refundable deposit
- Other amounts expressly authorized under this policy
Rush Production charges are not included among the non-refundable cancellation deductions.
Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
