The TrunkMate bed frame is built with high strength aluminum tubing, which can support 275lbs for a single bed and 400lbs for a double bed.
Compatibility
General Compatibility
Not all vehicles are suitable for the BlitzBed drawer. Some vehicles, like the Subaru Crosstrek, have a recessed trunk floor. This makes it impossible to open the drawer unless you raise the entire platform up an extra 5 or 6 inches.
While this can be accomplished with the purchase of our XL Legs, please first consider whether that will give you enough headroom in bed. Even a slight lift to the bed can make it very hard to get into bed and may make it claustrophobic inside (remember, your mattress adds another 2-4 inches!)
Please Note: BlitzBed Drawers were introduced January 1, 2025. If you ordered a BlitzBed Sleeping Platform before 2025, the drawer will not include the mounting hardware necessary for correct installation.

How challenging is it to install the drawer?
Not challenging at all! The entire process should take no more than 10 minutes if you have good lighting and an adequate work space (your living room will do just fine). 6 screws are used to attach the drawer slides to the BlitzBed. All holes are pre-drilled so there’s no way to mess up!
What tools do I need to install the drawer?
The only tool you need is a Phillips head screwdriver. A power driver is best, but you can install by hand if you don’t have one.
Is my BlitzBed is compatible with this drawer?
BlitzBed Drawers were introduced January 1, 2025. If you ordered a BlitzBed before 2025, the drawer will not include the mounting hardware necessary for correct installation.
To visually check whether your BlitzBed Sleeping Platform can accept a drawer, check the inside of your sleeping platform for 3 brass inserts on each side of the kit. These are the mounting points for installing the drawer slides.
