Bed Support Comparison
TrunkMate sleeping platforms have integrated metal bed frames that extend into your vehicle to create a level surface for sleeping. Our proprietary telescopic bed frames must be supported before weighting the bed.
There are three different methods for supporting your TrunkMate bed frame, outlined below.
1. Basic SUV Bed Support
How it works
The Basic Bed Support is included with every TrunkMate SUV kit and is the default way to set up your sleeping platform in vehicles where the 2nd row seats don’t fold completely flat.
Adjustability
We include 2 different sizes of wooden support pieces that allow you to set up your bed at various heights.
Compatibility
The Basic Bed Supports are compatible with most SUVs, crossovers, wagons, and hatchbacks with 2nd row bench seats. If your 2nd row seats are captain seats, you’ll need to purchase our Upgraded Bed Supports.

2. Upgraded SUV Bed Support
How it works
The Upgraded Bed Supports have adjustable aluminum legs that go to the floor of the car to support the end of your TrunkMate bed.
Adjustability
The aluminum legs can be adjusted in 0.75″ increments for precise height adjustment. Each leg operates interdependently so you can level out the legs if your car floor is uneven.
Compatibility
These supports can be used instead of the basic bed supports in SUVs, crossovers, wagons, and hatchbacks.

3. Minivan Bed Support
How it works
The Minivan Bed Support is included with every TrunkMate Minivan Kit and is the default way to set up your sleeping platform in vehicles with completely flat cargo floors.
Adjustability
These supports rest flat on your cargo floor and have adjustable legs so that you can raise or lower your bed in your minivan or pickup truck.
Compatibility
The Minivan Bed Support is best suited for minivans, full-size vans, pickup trucks, and SUVs with removed 2nd row seats.
