The TrunkMate 12-Month Limited Warranty is effective as of July 26, 2026.
TrunkMate products include a 12-month limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for their intended purpose.
Our goal is simple: if something fails because we made it wrong, we will make it right.
This warranty applies to the original purchaser and begins on the date the product is delivered.
Proof of purchase may be required before warranty service is provided.
What Is Covered
Manufacturing Defects
This limited warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that arise during normal use, including:
- Structural failures caused by defective materials or workmanship
- Hardware failures not caused by misuse, overloading, modification, or external damage
- Manufacturing flaws
- Defects present at the time of delivery
The existence of a defect and the appropriate warranty remedy will be determined after TrunkMate reviews the claim and any requested supporting information.
Warranty Remedies
For an approved warranty claim, TrunkMate may provide one or more of the following remedies:
- Replacement parts or components
- Repair instructions or guidance
- Repair of the affected product or component
- Replacement of the affected product when repair or component replacement is not practical
The appropriate remedy will depend on the nature and extent of the defect.
TrunkMate may require photographs, video, measurements, troubleshooting information, or return of the affected component before approving or completing a warranty claim.
Do not return a product or component without prior authorization from TrunkMate.
Warranty Shipping Costs
For approved warranty claims within the United States, TrunkMate will determine whether the defective component must be returned and whether TrunkMate will provide a prepaid shipping label.
TrunkMate may cover reasonable shipping costs for approved replacement parts or components. Expedited shipping, international shipping, duties, taxes, brokerage charges, and other special delivery costs are not covered unless expressly approved by TrunkMate or otherwise required by law.
International warranty claims are also subject to the International Orders Policy.
What Is Not Covered
Normal Wear & Tear
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, including:
- Cosmetic scratches, scuffs, or dents
- Surface wear
- Minor material compression
- Finish fading or discoloration over time
- Normal loosening or adjustment resulting from repeated use
These conditions are considered part of normal product use and do not, by themselves, indicate a manufacturing defect.
Improper Setup, Use, or Care
This warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- Improper setup, installation, adjustment, storage, or use
- Failure to follow instructions, warnings, or weight limits
- Overloading or uneven loading
- Commercial, institutional, or rental use
- Abuse, misuse, or negligence
- Improper maintenance or cleaning
- Water intrusion, prolonged moisture exposure, corrosion, mold, or environmental exposure outside normal vehicle-camping use
- Accidents, collisions, impacts, falling objects, animals, theft, vandalism, or other external forces
- Use of the product for a purpose for which it was not designed
Damage caused by the vehicle, vehicle modifications, unsecured cargo, improper anchoring, or incompatibility with an altered vehicle configuration is also not covered.
Product Modifications and Third-Party Components
Modifying a product does not automatically void all warranty coverage.
However, this warranty does not cover a defect, failure, or damage caused or contributed to by:
- Painting, staining, varnishing, coating, or refinishing
- Drilling additional holes
- Cutting, trimming, or altering components
- Structural alterations
- Improper repairs
- Installation of incompatible or unsuitable hardware or third-party components
- Removal, replacement, or alteration of safety-related components
TrunkMate may deny coverage for a particular claim when a modification, repair, or third-party component caused or contributed to the claimed problem.
Coverage may also be denied when a modification prevents TrunkMate from reasonably inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, or safely returning the product to service.
Unrelated manufacturing defects remain eligible for coverage during the applicable warranty period.
Safety & Proper Use
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- Confirming that the product is appropriate for their vehicle and intended use
- Following all setup, use, care, and safety instructions
- Inspecting the product and hardware before use
- Ensuring that the product is stable and properly positioned before placing weight on it
- Discontinuing use if any component appears loose, damaged, unstable, or unsafe
- Securing the product and other cargo appropriately while the vehicle is moving
TrunkMate products are designed for vehicle camping and temporary sleeping use.
Intended Use
TrunkMate products are not designed for:
- Permanent structural installation
- Use as vehicle seating while the vehicle is moving
- Passenger restraint
- Commercial or rental applications
- Uses outside their stated design and weight limitations
Customers are responsible for using the product safely and in accordance with all instructions and warnings.
Limitations
This limited warranty covers the repair or replacement remedies described above.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, TrunkMate is not responsible under this warranty for incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages, including loss of use, travel expenses, lodging expenses, lost income, or damage to other property.
Some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to every customer.
This warranty gives customers specific legal rights. Customers may also have other rights that vary by state or jurisdiction.
Nothing in this warranty limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Returns & Refunds
The Return & Refund Policy is effective as of July 26, 2026.
Our aim is to make the return process as simple as possible. Please keep the original boxes and packaging until you are certain that you are satisfied with your product.
Return Eligibility
Return Window
Returns must be initiated within 45 days of the original purchase date.
The return window applies regardless of the delivery date, production lead time, installation date, or first date of use.
Condition Requirements
You are welcome to test-fit and evaluate your TrunkMate product.
Returned items must be in like-new condition, meaning they have:
- No excessive wear
- No structural damage
- No missing components
- No permanent alterations
If a returned item shows wear, damage, alteration, or use beyond reasonable test-fitting, TrunkMate reserves the right to apply an increased restocking fee of up to 50% of the product price.
Packaging Requirements
Original packaging must be retained and used for all returns.
If original packaging is not used:
- We will not provide return shipping labels
- The customer is responsible for packaging, shipping, and all related costs
- Damage caused by improper or insufficient packaging may result in an increased restocking fee of up to 50% of the product price
Restocking Fees
Standard Restocking Fee
All approved returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee.
This fee helps cover inspection, handling, and repackaging costs and will be deducted from the refund amount.
Increased Fees for Wear, Damage, or Improper Packaging
TrunkMate reserves the right to increase the restocking fee up to 50% of the product price if a returned item has:
- Excessive wear
- Damage
- Missing components
- Permanent alterations
- Improper or insufficient packaging
The applicable fee will be determined after the returned product is received and inspected.
Return Shipping
Return Labels & Shipping Costs
For returns not related to a warranty defect, customers are responsible for:
- Return shipping costs
- Any return label fees (deducted from the refund)
When TrunkMate provides a return label, the cost of that label will be deducted from the refund.
For an approved warranty defect, return shipping may be covered in accordance with the applicable warranty terms.
Unauthorized Returns
Returns must be initiated through our return system before shipping anything back.
Items returned without prior authorization:
- Are not eligible for a refund
- May be refused or returned at the customer’s expense
Refunds
Refund Method (Original Payment Method)
Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout unless otherwise required by law.
Refund Processing Time
Once an authorized return is received and inspected, the refund will generally be processed within 5–10 business days.
This processing period does not include:
- Bank processing delays
- Credit card issuer processing times
- Other delays outside of TrunkMate’s control
Refunds Based on Amount Paid
Refunds are calculated using the actual amount paid for the returned product after accounting for any discounts, promotions, or store credit applied at checkout.
Applicable restocking fees, return shipping costs, non-refundable charges, and other permitted deductions will then be subtracted from that amount.
Non-Refundable Rush Production Charges
Rush Production charges are non-refundable when an order or product is returned.
Rush Production is an optional service that prioritizes and accelerates the production of an order. Once the order has been produced and shipped, that service has been performed and its charge will not be included in the return refund.
This rule applies even if:
- The returned product is otherwise eligible for a refund
- The product is returned within the 45-day return window
- The customer did not ultimately require the accelerated production timeline
- The customer selected expedited shipping in addition to Rush Production
Rush Production charges are refundable when an order is canceled in accordance with the Cancellation Policy. Cancellation eligibility, restocking fees, and other applicable deductions are governed by that separate policy.
Credit Card Processing Fees
Original credit card processing fees are non-refundable and will be deducted from the refund amount.
Refund Calculation
An approved return refund may be reduced by:
- The applicable restocking fee
- Return shipping or return-label costs
- The original non-refundable Rush Production charge
- Original credit card processing fees
- Other charges permitted under this policy
Abandoned or Unclaimed Returns
Storage & Disposal Timeline
If returned items remain unclaimed after return processing is completed, we reserve the right to:
- Charge storage fees, or
- Dispose of or recycle the items after a reasonable holding period

If you provide accurate vehicle information and purchase the configuration we recommend, we'll stand behind that recommendation. This policy explains when the Fit Guarantee applies, what “fit” means, customer responsibilities, vehicle configurations, required accessories, and how we resolve fitment issues.
TrunkMate sleeping platforms and related fitment accessories are designed for specific vehicles, configurations, and product sizes as identified in our Fit Guide or confirmed in writing by TrunkMate.
Compatibility may depend on more than the vehicle’s make, model, and model year. Factors such as trim, wheelbase, seating configuration, removed seats, folded-seat position, interior dimensions, factory options, and required accessories may affect fit.
TrunkMate Fit Guarantee
Our Fit Guarantee applies when:
- The customer provides accurate vehicle information
- The vehicle matches the applicable Fit Guide listing or written recommendation from TrunkMate
- The customer selects the product size, configuration, and required accessories identified by TrunkMate
- The vehicle remains in the configuration described in the Fit Guide or written recommendation
- The product is set up and used according to TrunkMate instructions
For purposes of this policy, “fit” means that the applicable TrunkMate product can be installed and used in the stated vehicle configuration substantially as described in the Fit Guide or written recommendation.
Fit does not guarantee:
- A particular amount of remaining cargo or passenger space
- Access to every seat, storage compartment, hatch, door, control, or factory feature
- A completely gap-free appearance around interior trim
- Identical positioning across all trims or factory-option packages
- Compatibility with equipment, modifications, or accessories not disclosed to TrunkMate
- Personal preferences relating to sleeping position, headroom, appearance, or convenience
If TrunkMate confirms compatibility in writing based on accurate information supplied by the customer and the recommended product does not fit as represented, the customer should contact TrunkMate before modifying or returning the product.
After reviewing the claim, TrunkMate may provide an appropriate remedy, such as:
- Setup or adjustment assistance
- Replacement or additional fitment components
- Exchange for a compatible size or configuration
- Return authorization and refund
The appropriate remedy will depend on the nature of the fitment issue.
This Fit Guarantee does not limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
Fit Guide Scope
Vehicle Information and Configurations
Fit Guide listings may apply only to particular:
- Model years or vehicle generations
- Trims
- Wheelbases
- Seating configurations
- Second- or third-row seat positions
- Seat-removal configurations
- Product sizes
- Required supports, legs, boards, or accessories
Customers must review the complete Fit Guide result, including any instructions, required accessories, configuration requirements, warnings, or limitations.
A general statement that a vehicle is compatible does not mean that every TrunkMate size or configuration will fit that vehicle.
Stock Vehicle Interiors Only
Unless the Fit Guide or TrunkMate’s written recommendation states otherwise, fitment information is based on factory-original vehicle interiors and the specified seating configuration.
Compatibility generally assumes:
- Factory seating and seat hardware
- Factory flooring
- Factory side panels and interior trim
- Standard cargo-area dimensions
- No undisclosed structural or interior modifications
Normal factory differences between trims, model-year updates, options, and regional versions may affect fit.
Required Vehicle Changes or Accessories
Some compatible installations may require specific preparation or accessories, including:
- Folding or removing particular seats
- Removing headrests or seat cushions
- Positioning seats in a stated location
- Using XL legs, supports, an AnchorBoard, or another identified accessory
- Following vehicle-specific setup instructions
When the Fit Guide or written recommendation identifies one of these requirements, compatibility is conditional upon following it.
A product is not considered incompatible merely because a disclosed setup step or required accessory is necessary.
Modified Vehicles and Obstructions
TrunkMate cannot guarantee fit when a vehicle differs from the configuration used for the Fit Guide or written recommendation.
Fit may be affected by:
- Aftermarket subwoofers or speaker enclosures
- Custom drawers, platforms, or storage systems
- Seat replacements or altered seat brackets
- Raised, replaced, or uneven flooring
- Interior trim modifications
- Removed or replaced interior panels
- Cargo barriers, partitions, racks, or mounted equipment
- Wheelchair or mobility conversions
- Auxiliary batteries, wiring enclosures, or other installed equipment
- Prior collision repairs or dimensional changes
- Other obstructions or modifications affecting the cargo or sleeping area
A modification does not automatically eliminate all eligibility under the Fit Guarantee. However, TrunkMate is not responsible for a fitment problem caused or contributed to by an undisclosed modification, obstruction, or altered vehicle configuration.
Customers should contact TrunkMate before ordering when unsure whether a modification may affect fit.
Customer Responsibilities
Before purchasing, customers are responsible for:
- Confirming the correct make, model, model year, trim, wheelbase, and seating configuration
- Reviewing the complete Fit Guide result
- Selecting the recommended product size and configuration
- Purchasing any accessory identified as required for compatibility
- Disclosing relevant vehicle modifications or installed equipment

- Contacting TrunkMate before ordering when compatibility remains uncertain
Customers should not rely solely on photographs, general vehicle categories, or another customer’s installation when selecting a product.
Incorrect or Incomplete Customer Information
If a fitment issue results from:
- Incorrect vehicle information supplied by the customer
- Selection of a product different from the size or configuration recommended
- Failure to purchase or use a disclosed required accessory
- Failure to follow stated configuration or setup requirements
- An undisclosed modification or obstruction
The purchase will not qualify for the Fit Guarantee.
Any approved return will instead be governed by the Return & Refund Policy, including applicable restocking fees, return shipping costs, and non-refundable charges.
Incorrect TrunkMate Guidance
If TrunkMate provides an incorrect Fit Guide result or written recommendation after receiving complete and accurate information from the customer, the customer should contact us promptly.
TrunkMate will review the circumstances and work with the customer toward an appropriate remedy under the Fit Guarantee.
Customers must allow TrunkMate a reasonable opportunity to review photographs, measurements, vehicle details, and setup information before returning or modifying the product.

Will the BlitzBed fit my vehicle?
Our sleeping platforms have been meticulously tested in hundreds of vehicles to ensure a proper fit.
Use the fit guide to verify your vehicle’s fit. Once verified, you can confidently place your order.
We have 4 different size combinations that allow us to offer a precise one-size-fits-most fitment in your SUV, minivan, or pickup truck.
Our sleeping platforms will fit snugly between your vehicle’s wheelwell arches without contacting them. This usually translates to a 1-3 inch gap on each side of the bed.
Our sleeping platform widths closely mirror many of the common mattress sizes that you find online or at a local REI store.
Will the BlitzBed hold my weight?
Our recommended weight limit is 275 pounds for single use or 500 pounds combined weight if sleeping two. For heavier loads, use additional supports for the middle of the bed
Our bed frames are built with aerospace grade alloys, which makes them incredibly strong and durable. Their flexible design works like a box spring, absorbing shock and making it easier to move around in bed.
How much does the BlitzBed weigh?
My vehicle's seats don't fold down flat. Will this still work?
Yes! The BlitzBed was designed to tackle this very problem!
Every kit comes with height adjustable legs so you can raise or lower the sleeping platform to the best height for your vehicle and even angle it if you park your car on a slope.
The bed frame extends into the car and either rests on the folded 2nd row seats, or attaches to support legs that extend to the footwell of the car.
We include 2 sizes of bed supports so you can support the bed at whatever height you want.
Will I hit my head on the roof?
You may have more headroom than you think! We’ve spent a ton of time optimizing our design to best fit your vehicle and maximize the amount of usable space you have while in bed. But at the end of the day, you’re still just sleeping in your car so you’re limited by the amount of available space your car offers.
How does it secure to my trunk?
Most SUV’s and minivans have cargo anchor points in the trunk. Use the included tie down straps to secure it to your trunk floor and prevent it from shifting while driving. If your vehicle doesn’t have cargo anchors, there are generally other places you can attach it to.
How will the bed be supported if I raise it up higher?
We include 2 sizes of supports that rest on your folded seats. The smaller hook is used to support your BlitzBed in the lowest height. The larger hook is used to support your BlitzBed at a taller height.
For precise height control, we recommend purchasing the Upgraded Bed Supports which have adjustable legs that extend to the footwell.

Our sleeping platforms will fit snugly between your vehicle’s wheelwell arches without contacting them. This usually translates to a 1-3 inch gap on each side of the bed.
Our sleeping platform widths closely mirror many of the common mattress sizes that you find online or at a local REI store.
Will the BlitzBed hold my weight?
Our recommended weight limit is 275 pounds for single use or 500 pounds combined weight if sleeping two. For heavier loads, use additional supports for the middle of the bed
Our bed frames are built with aerospace grade alloys, which makes them incredibly strong and durable. Their flexible design works like a box spring, absorbing shock and making it easier to move around in bed.
How much does the BlitzBed weigh?
Will this minivan camper conversion kit still work if my seats don’t fold flat?
Yes! The BlitzBed was designed to tackle this very problem!
Every kit comes with height adjustable legs so you can raise or lower the sleeping platform to the best height for your vehicle and even angle it if you park your car on a slope.
The bed frame extends into the car and either rests on the folded 2nd row seats, or attaches to support legs that extend to the footwell of the car.
We include 2 sizes of bed supports so you can support the bed at whatever height you want.
Will I hit my head on the roof?
You may have more headroom than you think! We’ve spent a ton of time optimizing our design to best fit your vehicle and maximize the amount of usable space you have while in bed. But at the end of the day, you’re still just sleeping in your car so you’re limited by the amount of available space your car offers.
How does it secure to my trunk?
Most SUV’s and minivans have cargo anchor points in the trunk. Use the included tie down straps to secure it to your trunk floor and prevent it from shifting while driving. Essential for safe and secure minivan camper travel. If your vehicle doesn’t have cargo anchors, there are generally other places you can attach it to.
How will the bed be supported if I raise it up higher?
We include 2 sizes of supports that rest on your folded seats. The smaller hook is used to support your BlitzBed in the lowest height. The larger hook is used to support your BlitzBed at a taller height.
For precise height control, we recommend purchasing the Upgraded Bed Supports which have adjustable legs that extend to the footwell.
